ByteCode.News is undergoing some updates!
What's running RIGHT NOW as this post is published is the "old code" - there's a complete migration in a branch, and it is accompanied by some pretty important updates, but those updates exposed some problems that are being worked on.
BCN is in "soft launch" mode, and these changes are pretty important to getting out of "soft launch" and into "this is a real site," which means I'm having to do some devops stuff that is not my normal cup of tea, so it's pretty painstaking. I thought most of the problems would be really quick to resolve, and they're not, so I'm going to pivot to using a development environment for a bit to work out the kinks; what you're seeing now should stay online for a good bit longer.
My apologies for any downtime you've experienced.
And the new code's been deployed! BCN is now running on a refactored codebase with a different testing paradigm to make things a little more reliable going forward.
